Pasadena Now

To celebrate the women of civil rights and social justice, the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (IMA) of Greater Pasadena and the Pasadena NAACP branch are bringing the multi-awarded production of “The Fannie Lou Hamer Story” to Pasadena on Sunday, August 18, 4 to 7 p.m., at the First AME Church, at 1700 N. Raymond Avenue.

The play is part of the National Voters’ Education Empowerment Tour 2020 which commemorates women of civil rights and social justice and supports legislative efforts to make Juneteenth, or June 19, 1865, an official National Day of Observance, like Patriot Day or Flag Day.
